Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid that is not used for protein synthesis and is predominantly found in free form in most tissues, especially in the nervous system tissues. It functions in tissues by stabilizing cell membranes, facilitating the transport of potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium into and out of cells. Taurine helps generate and regulate nerve impulses and supports normal fluid balance. It is also used by the body in visual pathways, the brain, and the nervous system, where it works together with glycine and GABA as a neurotransmitter.

Recommended use
Take 1/4 teaspoon 1-2 times a day, with water or juice, preferably between meals.
