Description
ALLNUTRITION CITRULLINE is a combination of the amino acid L-citrulline and malate (apple acid). Citrulline malate helps maintain ATP levels by reducing excess lactate for better muscle recovery after exercise.
Function and application of citrulline:
CITRULLINE is an endogenous amino acid that does not build proteins but is formed in the human body from ornithine. Citrulline is naturally found in products such as watermelons. Adequate availability of citrulline is necessary for the proper course of the urea cycle, and its effective course allows for the elimination of the byproduct of amino acid metabolism - ammonia, which has additional significance in high-protein diets.
Citrulline is also a precursor to arginine, an amino acid from which nitric oxide is produced, as well as a metabolite of changes that occur with its participation. Thus, its potential and applicability in supplements are quite broad.
