Description

CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is a class of fatty acids produced by animals that are naturally found in beef and dairy products. While CLA plays an important role in several cellular metabolic processes, humans cannot produce CLA and can only obtain it from food. Since CLA is generally more prevalent in pasture-raised animals, changes in agricultural practices have led to a decrease in CLA in our food products, reducing its availability in modern diets. Therefore, to achieve desired levels of CLA for optimal effect, it is recommended to use CLA supplements. NOW® CLA is derived from non-GMO safflower oil and contains 800 mg of CLA per capsule.
