Soluble fiber derived from products such as psyllium seed husk can reduce the risk of heart disease when used as part of a diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol. A serving of whole psyllium husk provides 6 of the 7 grams of soluble fiber needed daily to achieve this effect.

Directions for use
Once a day, vigorously mix 1-2 tablespoons heaping with at least 355 ml (12 ounces) of water or juice and drink immediately. Be sure to drink plenty of additional fluids throughout the day. Start with a smaller dose and gradually increase it over a few weeks.
