Description

This is oxitriptan, one of the amino acids that is a precursor to melatonin, the sleep-wake hormone. 5-hydroxytryptophan (oxitriptan) is derived from Griffonia simplicifolia (seeds of a woody shrub native to Africa). Serotonin is formed from 5-HTP, and thanks to this hormone, one of the most important processes of signal transmission between neurons in the nervous system occurs in the body.
