Vitamin D3: why it is necessary for every Ukrainian

Vitamin D is unique. It acts like a hormone and affects hundreds of processes in the body. In Ukraine, from October to April, there is not enough sunlight for its synthesis in the skin.

Symptoms of Vitamin D Deficiency

  • Chronic fatigue and weakness
  • Frequent colds and infections
  • Pain in muscles and bones
  • Poor mood, depression
  • Slow healing of wounds
  • Hair loss

Why does almost everyone in Ukraine have a deficiency?

Ukraine is located at a latitude of 48-52°. From October to March, the angle of the sun is too small for the synthesis of vitamin D. Even in summer, most people spend the day indoors.

How much to take?

  • Prevention: 2000-4000 IU per day (50-100 mcg)
  • In case of deficiency: 5000-10000 IU per day (as recommended by a doctor)
  • For children: 600-1000 IU per day

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is a better form than D2. Take it with fatty food for better absorption.

D3 + K2 — the perfect combination

Vitamin K2 directs calcium to the bones, not to the blood vessels. Therefore, D3+K2 together is the safest option for long-term use.
